Squarespace Domains DNS setup for BlogPath

What you are configuring

• Record type: CNAME
• Host: blog (or the hostname you configured in BlogPath)
• Points to / Data: proxy.blogpath.io
• TTL: leave default

Steps in Squarespace Domains

1. Log in to Squarespace → Domains → click your domain.
2. Open the DNS Settings tab.
3. Scroll to Custom Records and click Add Record.
4. Type: CNAME.
5. Host: blog (or your chosen subdomain).
6. Data / Points to: proxy.blogpath.io.
7. Save.

Apex note

Use a subdomain (e.g., blog). Squarespace does not support a true CNAME at apex. Keep your root A/ALIAS for the main site and set the fallback origin in BlogPath to your main site.

Verify

In BlogPath, run DNS check → Verify. Propagation is usually under 10 minutes. Remove any old A/AAAA record for the same host if verification fails.
