Create the CNAME in IONOS so BlogPath can serve your blog at yourdomain.com/blog.

• BlogPath Team
dns ionos setup

What you are configuring

  • Record type: CNAME
  • Host: blog (or your chosen hostname in BlogPath)
  • Points to: proxy.blogpath.io
  • TTL: leave default (1 hour is fine)

Steps in IONOS

  1. Log in → Domains & SSL → select your domain.
  2. Click DNS.
  3. Scroll to CNAME records and click Add Record.
  4. Host name: blog (or your subdomain).
  5. Points to: proxy.blogpath.io.
  6. TTL: default.
  7. Save.

Apex note

IONOS does not allow CNAME at apex. Keep apex A/ALIAS for your main site. Use a subdomain for BlogPath and set the BlogPath fallback origin to your main site to keep non-blog traffic working.

Verify

In BlogPath, open DNS checkVerify. If it fails, remove any existing A/AAAA record on the same host.
