Steps in Namecheap (Default Nameservers)
- Sign in → Domain List → click Manage for your domain.
- Go to the Advanced DNS tab.
- In Host Records, click Add New Record.
- Type: CNAME Record.
- Host:
blog(or your chosen hostname). - Value:
proxy.blogpath.io. - TTL: Automatic.
- Click the green check to save.
If you use Namecheap BasicDNS for the apex
Namecheap does not support CNAME at apex. Keep your apex A/ALIAS for the main site. Only point the blog hostname to BlogPath. In BlogPath, set the fallback origin to your main site so traffic to / still reaches it.
Verify
After saving, go to BlogPath → DNS check → Verify. Propagation on Namecheap usually takes 5–10 minutes. If verification fails, confirm there is no older A record for the same host (blog) still present.
